A ‘Downing Street’ spokesman said on Sunday that 55-year-old Johnson still had “signs of coronavirus.” He was admitted to the hospital as a ‘precautionary step’ on the advice of Johnson’s doctor. The spokesman said, ‘On the advice of the Prime Minister’s doctor, he has been admitted to the hospital tonight for examination. This is a precautionary step because even after 10 days of the confirmation of infection in the Prime Minister, symptoms are seen in him.
He said, ‘The Prime Minister praised the NHS staff for their hard work and appealed to the people to follow the government’s advice to stay home, preserve the NHS and save lives.’ While giving information through social media on Friday, Johnson said that he has decided to keep himself in a separate residence for a few more days. The estimated seven-day period of isolated habitat should have ended on Friday after the infection was detected last week.
