Delhi/ Boy asked to stay at home during lockdown, stabbed eight times to death
In the Raghuveer Nagar area of Delhi on Friday afternoon, a young man from the locality asked to stay home due to the corona lockdown and then gave him a knife with his friend. The accused punched the victim Manish more than half a dozen times and escaped.
Following the information, the Rajouri Garden Police Station reached the injured, where Manish’s condition remains critical. He is placed in the ICU. Police on Saturday arrested both the accused Arun and Jamil from his friend’s house. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Sameer Sharma said that the TC camp with the Manish family lives in Raghuveer Nagar area. Manish’s father runs a vegetable shop. Manish also sits at the shop with his father. On Friday afternoon, Manish’s brother Sangram was bringing vegetables from the shop.
Meanwhile, the accused stopped him, so Sangram refused to stop him due to the spread of Corona virus and asked him to go home too. Arun and Sangram started arguing over this. The debate between the two turned into a fight and a quarrel ensued. Knowing about the quarrel, Manish reached there and began to mediate his brother. During this, Jamil, along with his friend Ayan, gave Manish a knife.
The accused attacked the young man about 8 times and escaped from the spot. The family reported the matter to the police. After the information, Inspector Anil Kumar, along with SI Ajay’s team reached the spot and rushed the injured to the hospital. On Saturday, the police team registered a case in the relevant sections on the statement of family members and arrested the two accused from their friend’s house on Saturday.
