Tech / Xiaomi launches Mi Car Charger Pro 18W, fast charging support in both ports, price Rs 799

Chinese company Xiaomi has launched the new Mi Car Charger Pro 18W in India. It supports dual charging technology. It is designed in metallic finish. The company says that it has a dual-port intelligent distribution feature, due to which the right amount of power is supplied to both the devices involved in charging. The company also launched the Mi Car Charger Basic in December. In this too, two USB ports were given for charging two devices simultaneously, although it had a dedicated port for 18 Watt charging.

The Mi Car Charger Pro 18 Watt is priced at Rs 999 in India but is available for sale at Rs 799 under the launching offer. It can be purchased from MI’s official website. The old Mi Car Charger Basic was priced at Rs 499.

The Mi Car Charger Pro 18W offers fast charging support. In the old Mi Car Charger Basic, where fast charging support was available in only one port, the new model will get fast charging support in both USB ports. That is, fast charging experience can be taken by placing phone, tablet and digital camera in any of the two ports. However, simultaneous fast charging will not be available in both ports.
Apart from this, there is a dual port intelligent distribution feature. The company claims that due to this feature, it provides the right amount of power in both charging devices in an intelligent manner.

Thanks to its built-in chip, it also controls its temperature while working in high current. It also has an IC chip, which protects the charger from overcurrent, overheat, short-circuit and overvoltage.
