Jaydev Unadkat announces engagement, Cheteshwar Pujara wishes teammate on finding ‘love of his life’
Jaydev Unadkat had enjoyed a phenomenal Ranji Trophy season as he broke a 21-year-old record for the most wickets by a fast bowler in a single Ranji Trophy season.
Saurashtra skipper Jaydev Unadkat, who recently led his team to third Ranji Trophy victory, sprang a surprise on his fans on Sunday as he announced his engagement on social media.
Unadkat shared a picture with his fiancée Rinny on his official social media accounts and captioned it, “6 hours, 2 meals & 1 shared mud cake later.”
Unadkat’s fiancée Rinny’s Instagram profile also looked updated as it read, “I’ll know I’ve found a soulmate when my love exceeds that deep devotion that I feel for Cheese. Update: I’ve found love.”
India cricketer and Unadkat’s Saurashtra teammate Cheteshwar Pujara also congratulated the bowler on the special occasion and warned Rinny that she would have to deal with a lot of ‘bromance’ from now on.
Unadkat had enjoyed a phenomenal Ranji Trophy season as he broke a 21-year-old record for the most wickets by a fast bowler in a single Ranji Trophy season. He finished the semi-final with a tally of 65 wickets. The record was previously held by Karnataka’s Dodda Ganesh in the 1998-99 season.
Saurashtra won their maiden Ranji Trophy title since named as Saurashtra after defeating Bengal. Unadkat finished the season picking 67 wickets–the 2nd most by any player in a single edition of Ranji Trophy.
