On March 3, PM Modi announced that this International Women’s Day, he will be giving up his account to women. So, we asked women from Team India Today Features about what they would tweet if they took over the PM’s account.
Within minutes of PM Modi posting the message, it created a lot of flutter and the hashtag ‘No Sir’ started trending on Twitter. Many took to trend #NoModiNoTwitter. Social media users also urged Modi not to give up his social media accounts.
However, on March 3, the PM revealed the reason behind his cryptic tweet. He announced that he will be giving up his social media accounts to… wait for it… women, whose life and work have been inspiring. A step towards celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8.
