new Delhi. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamnai on Thursday targeted the Indian government over the Delhi riots. He linked the violence last month on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to religion. Khamnai has said that Muslims are in danger in view of the current situation in India. At present, there has been no response from India in this matter, but Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted and thanked Khamnai and attacked the Modi government for Kashmiri Muslims.
Khamnai tweeted, “Muslims of India are saddened by the genocide of Muslims in India.” The Indian government should stop radical Hindus and their parties. The genocide of Muslims must be stopped to prevent India from being isolated from Islamic countries. ”The Iranian Supreme Leader also used the #IndianMuslimslnDanger hashtag with the tweet.

Death toll in Delhi violence stands at 53
From 23 to 26 February, there were violent clashes between pro and anti-CAA factions in Delhi. During this period arson, firing and stone pelting took place. The death toll in the violence has so far reached 53, while more than 200 have been injured. Many videos of this violence have surfaced. On the basis of which the SIT of Delhi Police is investigating. Police also suspect international conspiracy in the violence during the visit of US President Donald Trump.
