Awe of Corona, Saudi Arabia vacates Islam’s holiest site “Qaba shareef” for ‘sanitization’
Mecca (Saudi Arabia): The Saudi Arabian regime also prohibited the holy ‘Umrah’ pilgrimage due to the protection from the corona virus infection. Now taking an unexpected step, the Saudi Arabian regime on Thursday vacated Islam’s holiest site to carry out the process of sanitization. Amazing pictures of the empty space around the Kaaba were shown on government television. The black structure inside the Mecca Masjid is surrounded by thousands of pilgrims.
A Saudi Arabian official said the move has been taken temporarily as a precaution but the upper floor of the mosque has been kept open till now. The officer described the move as unexpected. On Wednesday, the Saudi government stopped the Umrah pilgrimage for its citizens and residents.
30 corona patients in India
Please tell that 30 corona patients have been confirmed so far in India. The new case is from Ghaziabad where a businessman returned from Iran was found positive. Among the patients found positive, 14 are Indians while 16 are foreign nationals. Very strict precaution is being taken regarding Corona virus. A total of 6,49,452 passengers have been screened from 6550 flights at the airports. In addition, 29607 persons have been placed in IDSP Community Surveillance. People coming in contact with them are being monitored.
