India/ Prime Minister and President’s planes will get 1200 crores missile protection suite from US
new Delhi. To protect the Prime Minister and President’s planes, India will buy a missile protection suite worth Rs 1200 crore from the US. After installing such a suite, VVIP aircraft will also get protection from missile attack as well as electronic attack.
According to sources, the military deal was signed by US President Donald Trump’s two-day visit to India. Boeing is preparing two new 777 aircraft equipped with a new security suite.
New suite threat assessment capability
The new suite has the capability of measuring infrared and electronic warfare. It will also be able to cope with the danger. This missile is also equipped with a warning sensor. With the fitting of this suite, both new aircraft are expected to arrive in India by the middle of next year.
Officials attend Boeing’s workshop
Earlier, Indian Air Force officials also attended Boeing’s workshop. There he inquired about a suite equipped with security systems fitted in VVIP aircraft.
These VVIP aircraft will be included in the military classification
These VVIP aircraft will now be included in the military classification as the aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art military equipment. Earlier, Air India has been maintaining four Boeing 747 aircraft offering VVIP services.
24 multi-role and six Apache helicopters will also be purchased
During Trump’s visit to India, India also tied up with the US to purchase 24 MH60 Romeo multi-role helicopters and six new Apache helicopters. The Romeo multi-role helicopter will serve the Navy and the Apache Army.
