55 percent of married Indians cheat on their partners, women are ahead: Survey
About 55 percent of married Indians cheat at least once with their spouse. This revelation has been made in India’s first actuarital dating app Gleiden. According to which women are ahead of men in cheating. 56 percent of the women admitted to cheating on their partner.
48 percent of Indians believe that it is possible to be in a love affair with two people at the same time. At the same time, 46 percent believe that you can cheat with someone you are in love with. Perhaps this is the reason that Indians easily forgive him when he gets information about his partner being in a relationship with someone else.
Seven per cent of Indians forgive their partners without any thought. At the same time, 40 percent of Indians give forgiveness to the partner when the situation is normal. Similarly, 69 percent want their partner to forgive them. This research has been done on 1,525 individuals aged 25 to 50 years. Those living in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
Gleiden visited India in April 2017. By last year, its number of subscribers in the country had reached eight lakhs. The app membership has increased after the Supreme Court removed adultery from the category of crime in 2018. The survey says that only 13 out of every 1,000 couples in India get divorced.
According to the survey, 90 percent of marriages in India are still decided by the family. At the same time, only five percent of people perform love marriages. 49 percent of married Indians in the survey admitted that they had been in an intimate relationship with someone other than their partner. At the same time, five out of 10 (47 percent) are already engaged in casual sex or 46 percent in one night stand.
Indian women are ahead in the case of infidelity. 41 percent admitted that she makes frequent physical relationships with someone other than her spouse. At the same time only 26 percent men do this. On the other hand, 53 percent of married women and 43 percent of men believed they had intimate relationships before marriage.
