West Bengal / Country’s first rail restaurant opened at Asansol railway station, more than 80 people will be able to sit together
Asansol Indian Railways has started the first railway restaurant in the country at Asansol railway station in West Bengal. It is named ‘Restaurant on Wheels’. According to the railway officials of the East Zone, the restaurant has been built by mixing two old Memu coaches.
It will be open to both railway passengers and general public. It was inaugurated by Union Minister Babul Supriyo on Wednesday. Railways informed about this by tweeting. All types of food will be available here from rolls to veg and non-veg.
Tea-snacks in coach first and lunch-dinner in second
The entire restaurant is air conditioned. Tea, snacks available in first coach. It is named Chai-chun. At the same time, people will be able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the other 42-seat coach, which has been named Wow food. Railways has set a target of earning 50 lakh rupees from it in the next five years.
