Shahid Kapoor celebrated his 39th birthday with wife Mira Rajput and dad Pankaj Kapur in Chandigarh. The actor is shooting for his upcoming film Jersey with his father in the city.

Shahid Kapoor, who turns 39 today, celebrated his birthday with his wife Mira Rajput and dad Pankaj Kapur in Chandigarh last night. The actor is currently shooting for his film Jersey in the city.

In the pictures and videos that have surfaced online from Shahid Kapoor’s birthday celebration, the actor is seen cutting the birthday cake, while Mira and Pankaj are seen clapping standing next to the birthday boy.

Shahid is seen blowing candles and cutting the two-tier red cake, which is loaded with colourful fruits. The way Mira looks at Shahid as he cuts the cakes is adorable.

Earlier, Mira Rajput took to social media to wish her husband with a loved-up picture of the couple. She wrote, “Happy birthday to the love of my life.”

Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Jersey, which is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name. The shooting of Jersey began in Chandigarh in December, last year. However, due to an injury Shahid had to return to Mumbai. The actor later rejoined the shooting after getting cured.

In Jersey, Shahid Kapoor will again be sharing screen space with father Pankaj Kapur. They will be reuniting after 2015 film Shandaar. Mrunal Thakur plays a pivotal role in the film.

Jersey is scheduled to release on August 28, 2020.
