Indian 2 accident / Tamil Nadu police registered a case of negligence against Kamal Haasan and Director Shankar in 4 sections
Two days ago, during the shooting of Indian 2 in Chennai, three people were killed and 12 people were injured when a crane fell. After this accident, Tamil Nadu Police has issued summons against Kamal Haasan and Director Shankar. Apart from these two, the police have also registered a case against Lyca Production under sections 287, 337 and 304A of IPC.
People named Sri Krishna, Madhu and Chandran were killed during the accident. After the incident, the injured were admitted to Kilpauk Hospital. At the time of the accident, both Kamal Haasan and Kajal were in the same tent which was destroyed by the falling of the crane. Kamal had also said that questions have still been raised on the safety of the people of the industry at work. After this, Kamal had announced to give one crore rupees to the family of the deceased.
The accident took place at 9.30 pm on Wednesday night. At that time, a scene was being shot at EVP Film City near Chennai. Filmmaker and director Shankar narrowly escaped the accident. Police has registered a case against the crane operator. According to the police, the three assistant directors were riding in a box. He went for the shoot at a great height from the crane and was working on lighting here.
