Auto Expo 2020 / Mercedes has brought its cleaning staff from Germany, polishing the car and also sweeping the floor; Salary around 12000 rupees
Luxury interior … gleaming cars … crowded by thousands to see them. This is the view of the motor show of the Auto Expo in Greater Noida. Here the vehicles of different companies are in different pavilions, but the view of pavilion 15 is slightly different from others. This is a Mercedes pavilion, but the main thing here is the cleaning staff. Actually, it is not a common employee, but the company has brought them with them from Germany.
Do sweep on the floor with the car
Mercedes brings with it a cleaning staff of four. Which includes three male and one female employees. They arrive at their pavilions at around 9:30 in the morning, after which they are seen sweeping the floor, with Mercedes cars shining throughout the day. One of the male employees is named Thump. The thump looks like a model. Its length is about 6.5 feet. He engages earphones in one ear and enjoys the job of sweeping.
We explore thump salary
A cabin of cleaning staff is built at the rear of the Mercedes pavilion. When we got a chance, we slowly reached there and thumped with hi-hello. He also mentioned about his salary in talks. Then Thump thoughtfully told his salary 150 Euros i.e. about 12 thousand Indian rupees. Now the question was whether a company can bring a sanitation worker with it. To know this, we spoke to Devashish Majumdar, Senior Director Trade Fair of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
Our question to Devashish was whether the company from outside the country can bring a cleaning worker with him. Because it is losing employment to any person of our country? Regarding this, he said, the cleaning staff running with Mercedes are experts in many things. Along with cleaning the car, they also know many other things. Because the company gives them money, they also get them to do other work related to cleaning.
Regarding the same question, Sugato Sen (Deputy Director General, SIAM) said, there is no such rule for this, but when a company from outside the country brings its employee along, it has to take permission from the government. Mercedes always carries her staff along. For this, she also takes all the permission. His staff not only does cleaning, but also knows about many things related to the car. Anyway, when they come to our country, then 18 percent GST has to be paid on all kinds of expenses.
