PATNA : Man tries to immolate himself outside CM Residence
Patna: A youth tried self-immolation outside the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday afternoon. Security personnel present on the spot immediately rescued the youth and extinguished the fire by pouring water. There was chaos outside CM House for a while. The police immediately rushed to the PMCH carrying the young man, where his condition is said to be out of danger. The young man’s hands and feet are burnt.
The young man’s aunt died of dengue about four months ago. He also lodged an FIR at Pirbahore police station alleging negligence on the PMCH management. Health Minister Mangal Pand had assured that strict action will be taken against whichever officials are guilty. The young man alleges that police officers put his case on hold. After taking rounds of the police station and officers for the last three months, when no action was taken, then he has taken this step by getting upset.
What is the whole matter?
On October 5 last year, Abhijeet admitted his maternal aunt to a clinic when her health deteriorated. When there was no improvement in health, he went to PMCH with her aunt. On 12 October, the dengue report came out negative in the investigation report. After this, the doctors asked to take her home. When the fever continued for two days, the woman was again admitted to a private clinic. Here the report of dengue came positive. The woman died on 16 October. After this, the young man had filed a case in Pirbhor police station.
