Mumbai: FIR lodged against 300 women staging street protests against CAA
MUMBAI: CAA, NPR and NCR across the country are facing problems due to the exhibits that are taking place. On this complaint, the police has registered an FIR against some 300 women who have been assessing since 26 January in Nagpada area of Mumbai. The FIR was registered on the complaint of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
The corporation says that due to road jams, the movement in the area is not being disrupted as well as the repair of the road is not possible. At the same time, Kapil Gurjar Kart, a youth who has been gang-raping near the dharna-demonstration site in Shaheen Bagh, has been sent to judicial custody till 20 February.
Here, the Municipal Corporation of Calcutta has stopped the process of Aadhaar update following the news of data gathering for NPR.
In Mumbai, the cab driver took the passenger to police staion as the passenger was talking about the CAA’s crime. Mumbai BJP President Mangal Prabhat Ledha has announced to honor Uber cab driver Rahit Singh on Saturday. Rahit had taken the 23-year-old Bappaditya Sarkar to the police station.
