FIR against AAP minister’s brother for alcohol smuggling

The Crime Records Bureau and Excise Department seized a pickup truck full of alcohol before the Delhi Assembly election.
Investigation revealed that alcohol was being supplied on the direction of Harish Gahlot, brother of AAP minister Kailash Gahlot.
The seized liquor was allegedly being supplied by Balbir Mann, who is the owner of an L1 liquor shop in Delhi’s neighbouring Gurugram.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) data reveals that alcohol amounting to Rs 2.3 crore and narcotics worth Rs 42.32 crore was seized during the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) Delhi.
Till February 6, the Kejriwal-led AAP ranked first in the violation of MCC with a total of 529 FIRs filed against it.
Out of the 529, 448 were non-political and 45 were political FIR.
