Indore: State’s First Full Marathon Completed, More Than 20 Thousand People Participated In Four Categories

  • The 42 km run started at 4.30 am.
  • The enthusiasm of the participants was amazing.
  • The 5 km race started at Rajwada and ended at Nehru Stadium.

Indore: Madhya Pradesh’s first full marathon was held in Indore on Sunday morning. About 20 thousand runners participated in this marathon in four categories of 42, 21, 10 and five kilometers. Special cleaning arrangements were made keeping in mind the cleaniness of the city during the marathon .

This was the first full marathon in the state. Full marathon means 42 km run. It was also accompanied by a 21 km half marathon and 10 and 5 km runs. Apart from professional runners, members of various groups and organizations also participated in the marathon. Mother’s group ran with their New Born Babies. Specially abled children also participated enthusiastically in the race. Along with this, people who have had kidney and nee transplants also participated in this Marathon.

The 42-km full marathon started from Nehru Stadium at 4.30 am. After this, the race of 21 km started at 6.15 am and 10 km at 6.45 am. The 5 km run started from Rajwada at 8.30 am. All marathons ended at Nehru Stadium.
