Kerala / ‘Save Constitution’ march in Wayanad, Kerala, Rahul Gandhi will lead
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will lead the ‘Save the Constitution’ march on Thursday (January 30) in Kalpetta in Wayanad district in Kerala. Congress MPs and MLAs in the state are leading demonstrations against the CAA.
Party sources said that Lok Sabha member Gandhi from Wayanad seat would lead the march for about two kilometers from SKMJ High School in Kalpetta to the new bus base. This march is being held on the eve of Martyr’s Day.
The former Congress president will also address party workers after the rally. He will reach Kannur on Wednesday (29 January) late evening. The Congress has been organizing a march in the state against the amended Citizenship Act (CAA) led by its MPs, MLAs and local leaders for the last few days.
Wayanad will have a ‘Save the Constitution’ march, while in 13 districts of the state, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) will create a “map of India through humans”. Those participating will map the country.
Gandhi’s rally in Wayanad will also be attended by senior party leaders Oman Chandy, KC Venugopal, Leader of Opposition in the assembly Ramesh Chennithala and Pradesh Congress chief M Ramachandran. AK Antony, a member of the Congress Working Committee, will take part in the program “Map of humans (through India)” in the state capital.
