Republic Day 2020 / Tania Shergill’s first female captain to lead male contingent; Rafael’s first tableau at Rajpath

new Delhi. Today, the country is celebrating the 71st Republic Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi first paid tribute to the martyrs at the National War Memorial. This is the first time that Prime Minister Amar Jawan Jyoti did not go and reach the War Memorial near India Gate. This time Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is the chief guest of the ceremony.

The parade’s commanding officer, Asit Mistry, first saluted the president.

India’s T-90 tank Bhishma showed strength at Rajpath. Captain Sunny Chahar gave the salute.

Cannon K-9 Vajra showed strength. In this, Captain Abhinav Sahu saluted the President.

Light helicopter Dhruva created a diamond formation in the sky of Rajpath. Integrated Weapon System Rudra was also included.

For the first time, Rafael fighter aircraft was also seen on Rajpath.

The parade also featured Air Defense Tactical Control Radar. It was led by Lieutenant Vivek Vijay More.
