Republic Day: President Kovind said – We remain committed to democratic ideals, this is the best path of development

NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the nation on Saturday evening on the eve of 71st Republic Day. He said that the country runs with the people of the Republic. The power of India lies in the citizens. Keeping the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, let us remain committed to democratic ideals, this is the best path of development.

The President said, “We adopted the Constitution on January 26, 1950. Since then we celebrate Republic Day on 26 January every year. There are three parts of the system – executive, judiciary and legislature. All these are connected to each other despite being autonomous. The power of India lies in its people. Keeping the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, let us remain committed to democratic ideals, this is the best path of development. We are committed to the overall development of every part of the country.Development has been planned from Jammu and Kashmir to the islands of the Indian Ocean. ”

“Internal security is also important for the country. A policy is being made for this. We have also achieved a significant position in the field of health. Ayushman India has become the world’s largest public health plan. Health facilities have improved with the availability of quality generic medicines for Jan Aushadhi Yojana.

The Republic Day celebrations will be celebrated on Rajpath on Sunday. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro will be the chief guest of the ceremony. They reached Delhi on a four-day tour on Friday. The Constitution of the country came into force on 26 January 1950.
