NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the nation on Saturday evening on the eve of 71st Republic Day. He said that the country runs with the people of the Republic. The power of India lies in the citizens. Keeping the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, let us remain committed to democratic ideals, this is the best path of development.
The President said, “We adopted the Constitution on January 26, 1950. Since then we celebrate Republic Day on 26 January every year. There are three parts of the system – executive, judiciary and legislature. All these are connected to each other despite being autonomous. The power of India lies in its people. Keeping the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, let us remain committed to democratic ideals, this is the best path of development. We are committed to the overall development of every part of the country.Development has been planned from Jammu and Kashmir to the islands of the Indian Ocean. ”
