Bangalore / Shenzhen. The first case of an Indian being infected with coronavirus has been reported in China. According to reports, India’s Preeti Maheshwari has been admitted to a hospital in Shenzhen, located in Guangdong province, China, in critical condition for over two weeks. Preeti is a teacher at the International School of Science and Technology in Shenzhen. He was taken to Shekou Hospital on 11 January due to breathing problems. It was reported that he was infected with Coronavirus pneumoniae type-1. It is being told that Preeti is suffering from Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (Mods). Many of his organs have stopped functioning.
29.43 lakhs raised from crowdfunding
Preeti has been placed on respiratory support and ventilator in the ICU of Shekau Hospital. His dialysis is also being done to clean the blood. Preeti’s brother Manish Thapa wrote in his post- “The cost of his treatment is constantly increasing. About 10 lakh yuan (1 crore rupees) have been spent in the treatment since recruitment. ”Manish also went crowdfunding for Preeti’s treatment. However, so far only 29.43 lakh rupees have been collected from 992 donors through a private firm.
Can bring India after seeing improvement in addiction
According to Manish, “There has been some improvement in Preity’s condition, her heartbeat and MRI are normal. However, they are still on critical life support that means it will take time for them to recover. ”Manish says that the family is also thinking about getting Preeti’s treatment in India. However, his recovery is necessary before bringing him to India. Have talked to the Government of India in this matter.
According to Preeti’s husband Ayushmann Koval, the doctors had kept him in the ICU ward of the hospital on Friday in view of Preity’s poor condition. Preity is unconscious at the moment. The doctors are giving the family only a few hours to take care of Preeti. Doctors say Preity may take a long time to recover.
