Sooraj Barjatya writing a new film, says – Salman liked the idea/ Son would debut soon.
The superhit duo of filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan are to work together once again. Barjatya revealed on Tuesday that she had started writing her next film, and Salman too liked his idea.
In an interview to a news agency, Suraj said, ‘I am writing that film and will complete it in a year or two. I had a discussion with Salman about the idea of the film and he liked it. This is in my place, family, thinking and feelings. At the same time, he told that at the moment his entire focus is on his younger son Avnish’s directorial debut film.
Son will debut as director
He said, ‘Avnish is about to debut as a director. In late 2017 I was ready to start my film with Salman Bhai. I had already written about half the script, but in the meantime my son, who assisted me during Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, told me that he was ready to start a career as a director. Launching a director after 30 years in the company is a big responsibility, so I stopped.
Son will make complicated love story
Talking about the son’s film, he said, ‘I am just helping him as a guide. This is his film, his story. This is a complex love story. I told him to keep Rajshri’s audience in mind while making the film. Most of the shooting of the film will be out. We are currently finalizing the star cast of the film. Once everything is finalized, we will start work on the film.
Son has got Salman’s blessing
On the question of Salman being cast in his son’s film, Suraj said, “He has got Salman Bhai’s blessings. I believe that every filmmaker should make a film according to their age group and what they believe in, as I myself did during ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. Salman started his film career as a hero in 1989 with Sooraj’s film Maine Pyaar Kiya. The last film together was the 2015 Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
