Having Green tea can reduce heart disease by 20%, research done on one lakh people

A comprehensive study in China has revealed that those who drink green tea at least three times a week have a lower risk of heart disease by 20% than others. With this, such people live on average 15 months more than those who do not drink green tea. The findings of this study conducted by the Chinese Academy of General Sciences for more than one million people for seven years have recently been published in the European Society of Cardiology.

The main reason for this, according to senior researcher Dongfeng Guay, included in the study team, is the micronutrient “polyphenols found in green tea, which are rich in antioxidants. Polyphenols not only protect against cardiovascular diseases, but also diabetes, neurogenetic diseases ( Such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s) and are also helpful in relieving weight related problems.

If you drink 2 cups of green tea every day:

  1. Men have a 70% lower risk of colon cancer and 48% lower risk of prostate cancer.
  2. Women have a 22% lower risk of breast cancer.

Green tea is not enough:

Commenting on this study, Jodi Relf of the British Dietic Association said that it is not possible that we eat a lot of fatty foods, be comfortable and always be healthy by drinking only green tea. Green tea will be beneficial only when we take care of other aspects of health.
